What are some must-see Route 66 attractions?

Each community along the Illinois Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor is full of can’t-miss sites and curios that represent the remarkable history of the Mother Road in Illinois. For more information on each community and their attractions, visit the Communities page.

Does the Illinois Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor Festival include a passport program?

Download the Illinois Route 66 mobile app by searching “Explore Illinois Route 66” in the App Store or on Google Play. Tap “Passports” to participate by entering the code available at each location. Check in via the mobile app at all 15 locations and you will be entered to win a prize package worth more than $225!

Where will giveaways be available?

Each community along the Illinois Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor will give away a unique, commemorative sticker honoring the respective community’s connection to the Mother Road. Collect them all by visiting the designated pickup locations listed below during the festival weekend.

Stickers are limited and are available in each community while supplies last.

Additionally, limited-edition water bottles are available for pre-order. Water bottles may be picked up between 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 1, at either Joliet City Square (105 N. Chicago St., Joliet) or the Cruisin’ with Lincoln on 66 Visitors Center at the McLean County Museum of History (200 N. Main St., Bloomington).
